Use of __FILE__ leads to line truncation
Yes, I'm sure, you already knew that ...
I'm afraid that the following gfortran error messages are resulting from our excessive use of __FILE__
:
error: Unterminated character constant beginning at (1)
/home/mpim/m300196/icon-nwp/externals/mtime/src/mtime_t_timedelta.inc:363:132:
call handle_errno((.not. c_associated(c_pointer)), 5 * 100 + 2, __FILE__, __LINE__)
1
Error: Line truncated at (1) [-Werror=line-truncation]
/home/mpim/m300196/icon-nwp/externals/mtime/src/mtime_t_timedelta.inc:363:69:
call handle_errno((.not. c_associated(c_pointer)), 5 * 100 + 2, __FILE__, __LINE__)
1
Error: Unterminated character constant beginning at (1)
We can, of course, fix this by adding -ffree-line-length-512
to the FCFLAGS.
