That is going to be really complicated. In the first place there was a reference to libmtime.f90 in icon.mk.in for the claw processing of jsbach. After replacing that by libmtime_hl.f90 a can of worms pops up: claw fails at many places now. Contacted the ENIAC people on how to proceed ...

This looks as if this generic interface is just not supported. Or maybe all advanced fortran features. I'm a bit pessimistic about this being solved at any time.

Reiner hat die größte Erfahrung damit. Er meinte, das die schon lange nicht mehr kompiliert wurden: aber halt die alten. Mal sehen, ob sich jemand von den Schweizern meldet. Sonst wird es lustig.

Ach ja: es sind xml files. Vielleicht kann man die ja 'hand-craften' ...

Looking briefly at pp/claw/xmod/mtime_hl.xmod:3027 one finds:

<name><</name>

so obviously the < (i.e. the .lt. operator) does not get escaped correctly and is interpreted as part of the XML tag.

Just guessing: Renaming the operators to their F77 equivalents should help. Pretty modern though.
