* Some compiler bury their version information
  behind tons of ld warnings.

* This should allow BSD sed to digest this pattern as intended.

* -E is portable to all recent platforms and specified by POSIX.

* This should fix incorrect arguments when using nagfor through a wrapper
  like mpifort.

* libtool does not pass -shared-intel through the link step even though
  it is very much needed for linking to libraries built with older versions
  of the Intel compiler.

* This way users don't need to deal with C_LOC for simple cases.
