* The offending code is in src/quicksort.c where a conditional
  assignment to v_pos from malloc causes the compiler to assume that
  v_pos[0] is aligned as malloc would.

* Older versions of automake would create files named '#' or
  'am--include-marker' without this edit.

* By employing a wrapper, the syntax is almost identical to
  xt_redist_s_exchange in tests that do not actively make use of

* Also put internal error checks into NDEBUG conditional compilation block,
  the stripe construction should not allow these tests to ever ring.
