The data are from an asynchronously coupled model simulation of the marine isotope stage 3 (MIS3) with the MPI-ESM1.2-CR-mPISM-VILMA setup, hence, including interactive ice sheets and solid earth components. The setup differs from the dataset submitted in issue #9 in terms of the coupling method applied. Here, an asynchronous coupling was applied, that means that MPI-ESM is accelerated by a factor of 10, hence, for every 100 ice-sheet years only 10 MPI-ESM years are run. This needs to be considered in the setting of the time axis – there are 6,500 MPI-ESM years and 65,000 mPISM and VILMA years in the model output.

Additional metadata that should be added is a link and description of the 1D Earth Structure (from visko.inp), as it is used as a boundary condition for the simulation (VILMA). We will have to discuss how this can best be implemented in the metadata.
Variables to cmorize correspond to all variables in #6 (closed), #5 (closed), as well as the first batch of the latter experiments (#5 (closed)) that was communicated over email previous to the communication over git. Additional variables to cmorize are the relative sea level RSL (
