This issue is for collecting user and developer feedback.

User:

• the error message Ooops .. is not clear if this is a warning or an error to be solved
• "I think it is not convinient to have the run/mkexp/defaults/DEFAULT.config in a different folder then all other experiment types run/mkexp/types/." (Julia)
• "For code development it is often the case to run a test several times. It would be nice to have a switch to prevent writing the EEXP_ID.date files in order to redo the runs again and again (and overwerite it?)" (Julia)

mkexp Developer:

• DEFAULT.run.tmpl is verry long and therefore one is not able to get an overview of its parts
• It would be good to somewhere document what are the different switches contained in the DEFAULT.run.tmpl doing. Namely use_openmp_hack, DISTRIBUTED_IO and hiopy.
• It would be good to improve documetation (by comments) of the diffrent host files in run/mkexp/environments/hostfiles_levante
